Aiga Boxing and Wellness

Mr Hosea Taani - Learning Support Coordinator —

A group of lucky Pacific Island students are attending a 10-week health and wellbeing / boxing and exercise course with former professional rugby player Henry Fa'afili.

The course is organised by Aiga, a Pasefika Family Trust, which provides programmes addressing the holistic needs of Pasifika fanau/families, including social, cultural, educational and economic needs and difficulties.

Henry Fa'afili has represented New Zealand in rugby league with the NZ Kiwis, and Samoa in rugby union with Manu Samoa. He is now the head coach and trainer at the Tauranga Boxing Academy in Tauranga, where he runs programmes for Pasifika rangatahi (youth) with the aim of providing nurturing a holistic environment for them.
