Congratulations to our talented students who achieved top marks in their recent SpeechNZ exams, held in Week 3!

All participants from Pāpāmoa College earned the highest distinctions: HONOURS and HONOURS PLUS, an incredible accomplishment that highlights their dedication and skill at a national level.

Examiner Colleen Bassett, from Cambridge, praised the students’ work, expressing how much she enjoyed the performances and noting the impressive nuance and depth each student brought to their pieces.

The students presented a wide range of material, including poetry recitations, solo and group dramas, devised drama, prepared and sight reading, spoken theory on authors, acting techniques, voice and breath control, modulation in performance, researched talks, storytelling, and impromptu improvisation. Their hard work and commitment to excellence have earned them well-deserved recognition.
