40 Hour Famine

Mrs Jaki Lee - Teacher —

Papamoa College Leos were over the moon at the result of students' fundraising efforts for this years' 40 Hour Famine .

A huge thanks to our community for getting behind this great cause, which will provide funds to fight the hunger epidemic in sub-Saharan Africa.

A collective total of over $4,700 was raised by students, the highest amount raised since Papamoa College began fundraising in 2012.

More than 45 students raised funds from $13 up to a spectacular $345 each. Nineteen students raised over $100 and two raised almost $350! Congratulations to Emily O’Callaghan Y12 and Gemma Van Huenen Y13 for their massive efforts.

Students were encouraged in their fundraising efforts through a google classroom dedicated to the 40 Hour Famine and with a daily help desk, available for the four weeks leading up to the event.

If you would still like to donate please visit the Papamoa College page on the World Vision website.
