On Wednesday 8 June our Lower middle School students celebrated World Ocean Day with a presentation from Riley of Young Ocean Explorers.

Riley shared incredible messages about our magnificent ocean wildlife, protecting our environment and following our passions.

Young Ocean Explorers have been on a mission to inspire kids to love our ocean since 2012.

"We want to capture children’s imaginations through great storytelling, bringing the beauty, awe and fascination of the ocean and its inhabitants alive.
Our vision is to create generational change by connecting hearts and minds with the importance of enjoying and caring for our oceans and give them tools to make a better future.
There’s never been a more vital time for the health of the ocean and this planet than now!"

The visit was sponsored by Dive Zone Tauranga who have also kindly donated 10 'Have a Go at Diving' experiences for students who undertake challenges set by Riley and present them back to their commons. Good luck!
