Kia ora, my name is Alex Dunn and I am proud to be taking on the roll of Deputy Head Student for 2021.

Ever since I began my journey at Papamoa College back in 2015, I have loved getting involved in the wider school life. It’s been awesome to watch the school grow throughout the years I have been here. I always look for new opportunities that come up, whether that be in or outside of school. Throughout my time here at Papamoa College the school has given me so many amazing opportunities and I am excited to see what is to come in 2021. 

My main goal for 2021 is to create new opportunities for students within the school. I strongly believe that if students are given more opportunities that create excitement and enjoyment then it will benefit them in the classroom. I would like to continue to promote Whanau events and lunchtime sports to improve school culture. By building school culture we can create a stronger bond between the middle school and the senior school, this will result in a better school environment.

As the year goes on I look forward to working alongside the Head Students, Senior Council, Whanau Leaders, and Teaching Staff to create these opportunities for our students. I look forward to also seeing young leaders step up into their roles and start the journey as I did back in 2015.
