Woody Vahey - School Nurse
My name is Woody and I am a registered nurse.
I see students with a range of health concerns, including health education, mental health and sexual health. Our aim is to enhance the wellbeing of students so they can focus on learning and living life safely.
This year Kathryn Sharples (registered nurse) joined our team. We offer confidential appointments to students, whether it be for existing health conditions or to address new concerns/needs. We follow Best Practice guidelines from our Primary Health Organisation, with the aim being "to enhance all areas of well being, to support students in making safe informed choices and be able to focus on their learning." We also have a local GP that runs a free clinic each Monday for issues that may need a doctor input.
