On Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 August, students from Awa Commons witnessed Earth Science first-hand at Hell's Gate in Rotorua.

Students had a guided tour by an expert as they walked through bubbling mud pools, warm earth, steamy surrounds and serene forests. 

Students were also treated to some R&R in the sulphur pools following an English lesson to combine their new knowledge with travel writing.
