Our LMS boys group Tama tu, Tama ōra, had our first noho for 2019.

We spent our time at Tahuwhakatiki Marae improving our literacy skills and also our understanding of tikanga on the marae. Here is a short text written by Ilai Walker after our pre-dawn hikoi up Kopukairua

While the calm breeze and wild grass of the mountain surround me, the sort of vibe from the mountain is very unique and new to me. It feels like an ancient wisdom, as if the mountain has seen more things than the stars in the sky. Suddenly, the colossal form of the sun burst through the misty clouds. It's brilliant fiery light blinds me, but yet in a good way. I guess thats what paradise does to you.
