As part of our Social Science in Awa, students were asked to investigate a human rights violation and come up with a social action to help.

Year 10 students Poppy Plank, Amy Bell, Anja Edgington, Himawari Taweerat and Aurelia Graham investigated child labour. They have found an organisation, Global March, that works to reduce the risk of child labour and provide resources. 

They then organised a sausage sizzle to raise funds for their organisation. The students managed to raise $150 for Global March. The girls would like to thank Pak n Save Pāpāmoa for donating the sausages.
