Shuari's success continues!

Papamoa College —

From 3 -10 October 2020, Business Studies Student Shuari Naidoo Y13, attended the LatAm Biz entrepreneurship in action domestic tour. This fantastic opportunity was a joint event hosted by Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) and LatamCape to help young entrepreneurs involved in YES to grow their knowledge of Latin America's culture and business.

Shuari, CEO of Moraka Cups was one of twenty students from New Zealand who was invited to attend this event. Shuari and her team won second position in their pitch of a business idea that could be implemented in Latin America.

"The LatamCape trip has been an experience of a lifetime. I have learnt so much about doing business in Latin America which has opened so many possibilities for Moraka Menstrual Cups. I am honoured to be a part of the Young Enterprise Scheme." Shuari Naidoo Y13

Shuari was able to speak to other YES students about her experience and inspire others to apply for this opportunity in the future at the YES Regional Finals (held on 21 October). At this YES Regional Finals Shuari’s business, Moraka Menstrual Cups was Runner Up for the Overall Winner for a YES Student Business. Shuari is also a finalist in the Westpac Business Awards which are to be announced in November.

Fantastic Shuari - we wish you all the best for November!
