Our college brings home the Kotahitanga Shield!

On Friday 13 August, 80 Year 7 & 8 students from Papamoa College traveled to Hamilton to compete in the annual sports exchange with Rototuna Junior High School. 

The teams included AIMS Netball, Rugby 7s, Basketball, Football, and Hockey.

In typical Hamilton Style, the heavens open, making playing conditions wet, cold, and windy, except for the netball and basketball teams who were fortunate to stay dry inside! 

All the students involved thoroughly enjoyed themselves and represented the school extremely well. Thank you to all the staff, parents and coaches that attended on the day. 

The results were: 

Basketball - Papamoa College won
Football Boys - Rototuna Junior High School won
Netball - Papamoa College won
Football Girls - Rototuna Junior High School won
Rugby - draw
Hockey Game 1 - Papamoa College won
Hockey Game 2 - Draw

Overall, Papamoa College took out the Kotahitanga Shield 3-2. We look forward to defending the title next year.
