Field Trip
On Friday 11 November Motu did a mini-field trip to Te ara ō Wairākei (The Pāpāmoa Stormwater Reserve) to do some water quality sampling.
They are looking at ways that humans have impacted ecosystems and how we can monitor these impacts.
We tested two locations looking at indicators that included water clarity, temperature, macroinvertebrates and conductivity part of the NIWA citizen scientist program.
The picture is of Motu students using the clarity tube to measure the clarity of the water.
