NZSS Squash

PC Sport —

Well done by the two college teams who competed at the New Zealand Secondary School Squash Championships held on Friday 6 - Sunday 8 August.

Papamoa College fielded two of the youngest teams at the  Squash Nationals, we were one of only five schools to have both a boys and girls team out on the courts, and one of only two schools to have year 7 and 8 students in our teams.

Our girls' team finished third in Division 2 and the boys fought hard, to retain their seeding in the boy's division, having to play the eventual champions Tauranga Boys College in the first round.

It was a great weekend, and coaches Shane Mulcahy and ex-student Virginija Werder couldn't be more proud of how well the students went ...Roll on next year in the North Shore!

Special mention to the Teacher in Charge (TIC), Mrs Mulcahy, for all your hard work on getting both these teams to the NZSS Championships.
