On the last weekend of Term 3, a "Family Ski/Board Weekend" was offered to all of the Wairākei Learning Community. Seven Year 10 students and their whanau took advantage of the offer and had a great time away.

Teachers Ms Tanya Laybourn and Mr Tim Rogers brought their families along too for an amazingly sunny and fun day at Turoa Ski Field. 

All students took snowboarding lessons for the first time and by the end of the day had some solid skills to show off!
