During the July holidays, a number of our voice students competed in the Performing Arts Competitions in Tauranga.

These competitions have singers from all over New Zealand competing. Congratulations to the following students

• James Ferns Y10 received a very highly commended award in Musical Theatre and first place in Sacred Song.
• Stella Riley Y9 received a very highly commended grade for her Folk Song.
• Daniel Forsyth Y12 placed 3rd in the Popular Song category
• Videl Harrison Y8 came away with 5 placings: First place in her Own Selection, third place in 20th/21 Century Song, second place in Folk Song, second place in Sacred Song and first place in Musical Theatre.
