Important Message from the Principal

Mr Steve Lindsey | Principal —

Kia ora Papamoa College Community. This edition of Connect outlines what Delta Level 2 will look like for Papamoa College beginning on Thursday 9 September.

All students and staff will be allowed to be on campus as long as they follow the regulations stated by health authorities and the Ministry of Education.
These include:

  • People who are unwell or sick should stay at home
  • Extremely high levels of personal hygiene should be followed by everyone - e.g. washing hands, sneezing/coughing etiquette, try to prevent touching face
  • Physical distancing in school does not need to occur but we will attempt to follow the general rule of separation of 1m inside and 2m outside when practicable.
  • Face coverings in schools and tertiary education facilities for those aged 12 and over is strongly encouraged, but it is not a requirement.
  • Visitors will need to wear a mask, QRScan and sign the contact register, when visiting the campus.

Learning online and on Campus with Devices
As we move back onto campus, student learning will take the form of a combination of learning online, while also learning at school. Students having access to a digital device will assist with their learning. We encourage you to allow your child to bring a digital device from home. Please read the article below regarding digital devices.
