Rugby talent strong at Papamoa College.

Roller Mills 2018

Congratulations to Papamoa College students  Aidan Spratley, Aaron Gibbs, Blaise Walker, Keegan Rae and Kerry O'Reilly (Co-Captain) who were chosen for the Bay of Plenty Roller Mills Rugby Team that played in the annual Northern Roller Mills Rugby Tournament in October. This prestigious competition has been played since 1922!

The boys had a wonderful experience during the week, staying on site at St Peters School in Cambridge with the other nine teams from around the North Island. The team had a narrow 12-10 loss in the semi final to Auckland West but managed to regain their stride and overcome Counties on the last day to place third overall.

The rugby was a great step up for the boys but the friendships formed off field and other experiences such as motivational speakers, a trip to the Chiefs HQ and a jersey presentation from All Black Nathan Harris all made the week one they will remember for a life time.
