Daffidol Day

Mrs Jaki Lee Pouako Matua Tauhokohoko / Teacher in Charge of Commerce —

Friday 26 August was National Daffodil Day. Our wonderful Leo Club members spent a week fundraising for this worthy cause.

The Leos' sold Daffodils outside the lobby every interval and lunch for a donation. They also had the option to brighten someone's day on Friday by sending them a fresh daffodil and a card containing a Daffidol pun.

"Every day 71 New Zealanders are diagnosed with cancer.  Whether it's driving someone to their treatment, providing advice to someone who has rung our 0800 number, or sitting with them during their treatment - the Cancer Society is there.

Every dollar raised for Daffodil Day will go towards cancer care for patients and their whānau, education and awareness programmes, and life-saving cancer research.

Great work Leo's!
