Every year, the Tauranga Art Gallery shows an exhibition of the top student artwork from around the Bay of Plenty. The exhibition will run from Thursday 16 December until Sunday 16 January. A great chance to see some amazing work by some very talented students!

The popular Exhibition, held in the Gallery Education Studio, features folio boards created by students for the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA). 

Each school selects 5 folio boards for the exhibition, we have selected the following students:

Level 1 Photo-Design - Nesian Kautai Y11

Level 1 Painting - Vincent Willey Y11

Level 2 Painting - Madison Brokenshire Y12

Level 2 Digital Painting - Zohara Wahed Y13

Level 2 Design - Madison Brokenshire Y12

The Year 11 (15-16 year-olds) folios explore a conceptual theme through a wide variety of disciplines and mixed media. The Year 12 (16-17 year-olds) folios show finely honed skills in one specific discipline.

The Art Gallery is hoping to hold a small gathering to officially open the exhibit on Thursday 16 December. There will be more details around this once guidelines for the new traffic light system have been confirmed for the Gallery.
