We are seeking applications of interest, for our Year 7/8 Learning Through Sport Class, from students who will be starting at Papamoa College in 2023.

The Aim of the LTS Class is as follows:

• To promote and foster a love of learning through the medium of Sport

• To provide the necessary values and skills for students to develop as lifelong learners

• To develop the skills of collaboration, self-management and critical thinking

Criteria for Selection

To be considered for placement within the Learning Through Sport Class 2023, students must:

1. Demonstrate a passion for sport and kinaesthetic learning activities

2. Commit to competing in a sport representing Papamoa College or participating in a sporting initiative

3. Actively compete in all school-wide sports events in 2023

4. Demonstrate an ability to work as an effective team member

5. Possess a hard-working attitude

Interested students who wish to be considered for a place in the Learning Through Sport Class must complete an Application form (see attached below). This form must be completed without adult assistance. 

Completed Forms can be submitted to Reception or emailed directly to Mr Andrew Jacob.

Applications close on Friday 28 October at 4pm (No late applications will be considered).
