WINTER TOURNAMENT WEEK - (2ND - 6TH SEPTEMBER)

Wow what a week our eight Papanui High School teams had during Winter Tournament Week. There was some great competition and we could not be more proud of our students for not only the results that they produced but also the values and fair play that they displayed. I am sure that every player who competed this week has made some fabulous memories that they will remember for many years to come.

Canterbury Secondary Schools' Special Olympics Basketball Tournament.

Everyone involved "Dared to Excel". There were plenty of smiles to be seen and lots of positive encouragement among teams. The Special Olympics Oath is - "Let me win. But if I cannot win; Let me be brave in the attempt".

Kia toa ahau. Ki te kore ahau e toa, Kia māia ahakoa a hinga.

We had so many brave athletes on court achieving all sorts of different goals.

Our results;

In division 1 we were placed first. Adi Pathak MVP

In division 2 we were placed third. Alex Skinner MVP
