Term 1 sport is now fully underway. It's a jam packed term with not only weekly sport but many other sporting opportunities and tournaments for our Papanui High School Students.

South Island Secondary Schools' Tennis Cup

On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd February Sophia Bayliss (Year 10), Lucy Pratley (Year 12) and Maya Powell (Year 13) represented Papanui High School at the South Island Secondary Schools' Tennis Cup at Wilding Park.

The girls had a great weekend and played some outstanding Tennis making it through to the final against Columba College (Dunedin). Papanui High School came out victorious winning 2 matches to 1, and were winners of the South Island Secondary Schools' Cup.

Mainland Volleyball Tournament

Congratulations to the Papanui High School Snr Girls' Volleyball Team who competed in the Mainland Volleyball Tournament last weekend.  The girls played some great volleyball and a number of very close matches, taking out 6th place in Division 3.

A huge thank you to Mr Peng Tay (Super Coach) and the staff who supported the team throughout the weekend.

Student Achievements

Congratulations to Anna Gillett (Year 11), Lucy Knaggs (Year 10), James Knaggs (Year 12), and Daniel Wordsworth (Year 11) who have all been selected in the Canterbury U18 Athletics Team to compete at the New Zealand Track and Field Championships in Dunedin this weekend.
