Te Whānau o Te Whatukura o Papanui wowed the audience at Shirley Boys' High School

Recently, our kapa haka ensemble participated in the Te Aho a Maui event, which featured various Secondary School kapa haka performances. This occasion provided our group with a valuable platform to showcase a portion of their repertoire before a large and appreciative audience. As our group prepares for their primary competition in 2024, this performance served as a wonderful opportunity for our members to gain experience and refine their skills in a public setting.

The upcoming week will involve a three-day visit to Takahanga Marae for the group to deepen their knowledge and improve what already looks to be a promising bracket of kapa haka disciplines.

The Tūhono Kapa Haka Festival is scheduled to be held at the Christchurch Town Hall on Sunday, September 15th.
