Kimi Ora Department —

Work Experience opportunities

Work experience opportunities for our students are a vital part of our programme for our senior students in the Kimi Ora Department. Huge gains in confidence are seen in those students who have the opportunity to participate in a work placement. Work-based learning enables a variety of new skills to be learnt, giving students a greater understanding of what it means to be “Work Ready.”

Our work experience programme has led to some of our students receiving paid work once leaving school. We thank Bishopdale New World, Tasman Holiday Park, The Novotel Airport, Thrive Cafe-City Mission, Willowbank, Creative Junk, Wai Ora Trust, New World Prestons, and the Linwood Library for their support.
