Welcome to our new Tumuaki/Principal, Mr Robert Gilbert

Papanui High School staff and students, led by Matua Te Haere Stirling, welcomed Mr Gilbert with a formal pōwhiri in the school hall on Monday, 29 February. He was supported by his whānau and handed over by senior staff from his previous school. Mr Gilbert thanked the staff and students for their warm welcome and talked about how much he was looking forward to working with the Papanui High School community. Mr Gilbert has previously held senior positions at Aranui High School, Rangi Ruru Girls' School, and Tauranga Boys' College. He has a Master of Arts in English with First Class Honours from Massey University and a background in English and Performing Arts.
