School Exchange with Wujiang High School

Robert Gilbert —

“We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us.” - Superhero Black Panther (2018)

On Friday 22nd of November, a group of our Year 10 students spoke to a school which is approximately more than 10,000km away in China. Wujiang High School spent an hour showing us their local customs, songs and asking questions about New Zealand.

Wujiang Senior High School students took delight when we shared our knowledge about Matariki and what an average school day looks like here in New Zealand. They shared their connections to Matariki and with their moon cakes. Our Year 10 students made Papanui High School proud with their pristine uniforms and desire to find connections with our new Chinese friends. We are already looking forward to speaking with them again.
