Papanui On Tour

Robert Gilbert —

This week, Papanui High School was proud to take our annual Intermediates Tour to a number of our local contributing schools.

The tour was a celebration of the diverse talent, energy, and pride that define our school community, and a wonderful opportunity to connect with our future students.

Our Head Boy Ashton Fairly and Head Girl Vaibhavi Patel led the way as confident and welcoming hosts, supported by a team of outstanding Year 9 ambassadors: Oscar Robertson, Charlie Hill, and Lauren Smith. These students represented our school with mana and enthusiasm, helping to introduce performances and engage with the Year 8 students at each school.

The tour featured an impressive line-up of student performances and creative showcases. On stage were: Kapa Haka, Concert Band, Year 13 Dance class, Rock Band “Aubergine”, our Hip Hop Crew, Jazz Big Band, and a sneak preview of Shrek The Musical, offering a fun and lively glimpse of what’s to come in this year’s school production.

Each performance reflected the hard work, creativity, and teamwork of our students and staff, and gave Year 8 students a genuine insight into the opportunities available at Papanui High School, whether in the performing arts, leadership, or school culture.

A huge thank you to all the staff and students involved in making the tour a success. Your commitment and passion continue to make Papanui High School a vibrant, welcoming, and inspiring place to learn.
