YEAR 13 Conference 2024. Monday 25th March 8:30 am Papanui Club
All year 13 students are required to attend the annual Year 13 conference at the Papanui Club. This event is intended to aid students in establishing a pathway plan for their transition from school. Our principal, Mr Robert Gilbert will speak and there will be workshops run by PHS Careers staff, the NZ Institute of Sport, Te Pukenga, Ara, Canterbury University, and Lincoln University. Students with double morning study must still attend at 8:30am on this day.
University of Canterbury liaison visit Tuesday 26 March 9.30am D1. Discussion of pathways, courses of study, UC experience, applications and much more. If you are considering UC for 2025 then you should come along to this session in D1. Note: you should not miss an assessment to attend. Assessments take priority.

Mana Wāhine Trade Event Christchurch Town Hall – Avon Room 18th April 5.00pm. Learn about trades and how to get started, meet local employers and apprentices, and find out what is currently happening in the construction industry.

YMCA Volunteering: The YMCA offers a range of opportunities for young people to gain workplace experience and enhance their leadership skills.
Eg Holiday Programme Leader, Basketball and Gymnastics Coach and Basketball Referee. Students must be 15+ years old to volunteer. See Mrs Langdon in the Careers area for details
