From the Art Department: Annual Zonta Ashburton Women's Art Awards.

This year Papanui High School has a record breaking twenty female Art students shortlisted as finalists.

Ashburton Art Gallery is hosting the annual Zonta Ashburton Women's Art Awards in March 2025.  Papanui High School has a record breaking twenty female Art students shortlisted as finalists in the Young Generation Award specifically for young women between the ages of 16-20.

The prize money consisting of $750 has been won by Papanui High students 4 times in the last 6 years of entering this prestigious public gallery exhibition. We wish the following students all the best of luck for judging and invite all supporters to visit the gallery during the month long exhibition of their work.

Heilee Amonelo, Neya Balbuena, Nina Banya, Sophie Brownlee, Marley Celedonio, Abbey Cruickshank, Anna Do, Gracy Ellen, Alexis Elliott, Margarette Erfe, Georgia Grins, Reka Harvey, Mackenzie Keech, Rose Langford, Kate Lusby, Lily Kempton Reeves, Yua Tanaka, Aska Ueda, Sienna Yearbury, and Ako Yoshizawa.

The award winners will be announced at the exhibition opening on Friday, 07 March at 7pm at the Ashburton Art Gallery and Museum.
