Dear Paul, 

On behalf of the Friends of Papanui Primary, I would like to thank you so much for your service to Papanui Primary as Principal, and wish you a very happy retirement. We have really appreciated how approachable and motivated you are, and how dedicated you always are to the greater good of any child at your school. 

Through the Friends of Papanui, I have been able to see through a parents' perspective, how well the school has been guided by you, even through the many life events we've had, and I have been really glad my kids have been under your calm and caring leadership for their primary schooling. 

Your kind hard working legacy will always live on at Papanui Primary with everything you've done. I love that we'll always have some awesome passion projects of yours at school - the bike track, the new playground (that I have witnessed you digging out by hand on your own!), guidance of a whole renovation of the school, and now a cool massive rock which is such a great symbol for them to remember you by. 

Wishing you a retirement full of health, happiness and cycling, you deserve it. Hope your retirement rocks!
