Vaccine Mandate in Education

The COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Amendment Order (No 3) 2021 made on the 25th October mandated vaccinations for the education sector.

The school is working to be fully compliant with the mandate. The 15 November is a key date when staff are required to have received their first dose.

It will affect parents / adults wishing to volunteer at school or on trips who will need to provide evidence of a first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by 15 November and be fully vaccinated by 1 January 2022.

The requirements do not apply to people who are visiting your school or kura, such as for a learning conference or a parent, whānau and community evening.

2022

We are planning our 2022 school organisation - staffing, budgets and classes.  Please contact either me principal@pps.school.nz or your child's class teacher if there is anything you wish us to consider in your child's class placement.
