Fun Run & Cross Country

Maree Hewitt —

Friday 19 May - PPS will be holding our Fun Run Challenge and our cross country event. Bring a picnic lunch and some of your whānau for a great day out.

Our Fun Run Challenge is a great way for our students to set challenges for themselves, gain sponsorship and push themselves on the day to complete the run. The Fun Run is traditionally one lap of our school grounds and will include some fun challenges for students to enjoy along the way. We invite whānau to join their children on their lap so get ready for some training. Our students have started.

Our Cross Country is the long distance of 2000 metres and is a chance for some of our Y5 and Y6 students to represent PPS at our local Zones event on Tuesday 30th May.

The race times are approximately as follows:

  • 11.15am - Year 5 & 6
  • 11.30am - Year 3 & 4
  • 11.45am - Year 1 & 2
  • 12.00pm - School Fun Run

Our aim is to get children more active more often.

The form for the Fun Run will be sent home today with your child. Funds raised will contribute towards Term 4 swimming costs and any additional sports equipment. Your support is greatly appreciated and we ask that the money is in to the office by Friday 26th May.
