Super Saturday: Get vaccinated

Paul Kingston —

As I’m sure you’re aware, Super Saturday is happening this weekend, our national day of action to get more people vaccinated.

As a school we support the public health message that vaccination is essential to get us back to some sort of normal.

The public health advice cannot be clearer: vaccinations are the most significant tool we have to reduce the risk of serious illness in our communities. If most of us are vaccinated, we can also reduce the risk of outbreaks which can lead to lockdowns and put our health system under pressure.

As a school/kura at Alert Level 2, all of our staff are all required to have received our first COVID-19 vaccination by 15 November 2021 and we all, including our volunteers, need to be fully vaccinated by 1 January 2022.

To date, nearly all of our staff either have had either one dose or are fully vaccinated.
