Kīwaha should be fun and exciting ways to express yourself! Pick one or two to have a go at using. Here are some examples:

  • Āe mārika! - You betcha!
  • Meika meika? - Is that so?
  • Kia Tau! — Relax, settle petal!
  • Me haere! — Come quickly!
  • Te ataahua hoki! — That’s beautiful!
  • Ka mau te wehi! — That’s amazing!
  • Aue, e hika ma! — Goodness me!
  • Pai kare! — By golly!
  • Karawhiua! — Give it heaps! Go hard

Saying hello:
