Principal's Week 9 Update
I rather optimistically planned and shared the staffing for next week with you in last Friday's newsletter. It's changed ...
CHANGES
More cases, and staff unable to return when expected, have further complicated our already compromised staffing levels. At this stage this is the plan for the week but as you can appreciate the staffing is very fluid and very much 'day by day'.
The biggest difference is on Monday Pukeko will have Mrs Thompson and a teacher aide running a modified programme not the usual two teachers.
And Weka will have a reliever working alongside Ms Rait - Mr Kemp has confirmed Monday and Tuesday. Hopefully he will be available for the whole week.
COVID CASES UPDATE
Over the weekend, we have been notified of more new COVID-19 cases in our school.

COVID CASES at PPS
We had our first case on the 3rd of March and we are now entering our fifth week of the outbreak. I have included a couple of graphs that may interest you.
This graph shows the daily cases and how they have increased over the month.
This graph shows the total cases per week. The fifth week is Saturday and today. Hopefully we have hit our peak but we'll have a better idea on Friday.
And that's it!
The cartoons are "Calvin and Hobbes" by Bill Waterson and as you may guessed one of favourites.
