Papanui Primary School Board of Trustees

Debbie Robertson —

Kia ora koutou,

It is with some sadness we acknowledge the retirement of our principal, Paul Kingston. Paul’s final day as principal is on Thursday the 6 th April and it is hard to believe where the time has gone, since Paul presented his resignation letter to the BOT last year.

Paul has been principal at Papanui Primary School for over 21 years, and during his tenure, he has made it his mission to provide a safe and secure environment for our children to have a positive start to their individual educational journeys. He is a passionate man who takes pride in the way his teaching team deliver an education  to our tamariki and he has always made a concerted effort to know each child by name and where they are with their learning.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Paul on behalf of the BOT, for his enormous contribution to making our school, what it is today. We all wish him well for his retirement and his next lot of adventures and we hope that he remains a close friend to the school and the community. If you haven’t done so already, I encourage you to take a few moments out of your day to say your farewells to Paul in person or via Paul’s farewell book in the school office.

Nga mihi

Mark Strong

Presiding member of the BOT
