Fun Run Fundraiser - Amazing team effort

by Jo Morris

We would like to say a huge thank you to all the families who supported this fundraiser. Many of you went the extra mile to get sponsorship which we really appreciate. We raised just under $2,500! Fundraising will go towards our Healthy Active Learning programme like sports equipment and swimming costs. We would like to make special mention of Millen Findlay from Pūkeko whose family raised $180! Also Asher Smith, Declan Walmsley, Dallas Brown, Jed King, and the Murphy, Stephens and Bristowe families for all raising over $80. This was a super effort, tu meke.

Upcoming Class Trips

by Jo Morris

This term our learning is centred around a school-wide focus of Tūrangawaewae (the place where I belong). All schools in our Kāhui Ako are exploring this theme within their school context. Our aim is that all tamariki will be able to talk about a place that they feel a connection to, what they believe in, and where they come from and how past events shape and form our future. There will be a Tōtaranui Exhibition 20th June - 8th July (more details to come) sharing learning from across our Kāhui Ako.

Thanks so much for the orders so far. Orders finish 29th May. Let's give it the best effort we can so we don't have to do too much more during the year! Spot prizes of movie vouchers attached to some pies! 1st, 2nd and 3rd biggest sellers get to choose from the donated prizes. Winning class gets a morning tea , lunch or iceblock shout whatever the teacher chooses is best 😀. Korimako is in the lead at the moment💛. Remember if someone doesn't like pies and wants to donate any to a future catering event we're doing, that'd be awesome too!
