150th Anniversary in 2021

This year the school celebrates its 150th birthday. We are a planning a community party in Term 4 - Saturday 30 October 2021.
In 2021 Papanui Primary School (formerly known as Papanui District School) will celebrate its 150th anniversary. Primarily it will be an event that children, teachers and our current school community will undertake as a part of their local curriculum for the year with the theme of Tūrangawaewae – a place to stand. They will investigate the school and its place in the community now and over time.
The celebration of their learning will be an event that the wider community, including past pupils and former staff will be invited to attend.
If you know of anyone who is an ex-pupil or ex-staff let them know and encourage them to contact the school.
