Active Travel and Road Safety

by Jo Morris

This week the Junior students had some active travel workshops where we learnt about some of the modes of transport and benefits of active travel. We discussed that both motorists and pedestrians have rules to follow. The tamariki learned about the concept of Stop, Look and Listen. The Christchurch City Council have offer to help us to set up a Walking School Bus which is an amazing opportunity for our whānau to share the load of getting our tamariki to school in a safe and healthy way.
