Tumuaki/Principal Notice Week 8, Term 1

Jordan Palfrey —

Kia ora te whānau o Pārāwai School, Malo e lelei, Bonjour, Konnichiwa, Guten tag, Ni hao, Namaste, Choum reap suo, Hello

Today we farewelled Miss Emma Morgan who is leaving on Parental Leave from today.  We would like to thank Emma for her hard work in both the Junior and Middle Syndicates. We wish her the very best for this next part of her journey and look forward to meeting the new arrival later this year.

We are lucky to have secured Katrina Akulu to fill Emma's roll starting next term, and we have Solomon de Thierry to fill in for the remainder of Term 1.

A huge thank you to our parent helpers at last night's disco.  It was such a fun evening for our tamariki, and all fundraising efforts are appreciated!!

Next week, we have our two E-Pro 8 finals with the Year 7 & 8 teams up first on Thursday evening starting at 5pm. On Friday, the Year 5 & 6 students will have their turn to compete against other school teams from our region.  We wish them well in what is guaranteed to be a tough competition.

We will also have 30 students travelling to Ngatea on Friday to participate in the Cricket Smash. More details will be sent via HERO.

In our final week of term, we are holding our Learning Conferences on Tuesday the 9th of April.  Please collect your children at 12 noon on this day.  Bookings can be made through HERO, and it is important for you as parent/caregivers to come in and discuss your child's learning goals.  It would be a great idea to have looked at your child's learning posts and current learning goals on HERO before this meeting, and your tamariki love seeing your comments on their posts!!

A final reminder that school is closed on Easter Tuesday, and we look forward to seeing you all back and ready for the final 8 days of learning on Wednesday the 3rd of April.

Enjoy your long Easter weekend and stay safe.

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou.
