Steampunk The Thames would like to invite you to participate in the Annual Steampunk Festival. Our theme this year is “Down the Rabbit Hole” in reference to Alice in Wonderland. The festival runs from Thursday November 8th – Sunday November 10th.

Steampunk The Thames would like to invite you to participate in the Annual Steampunk Festival. Our theme this year is “Down the Rabbit Hole” in reference to Alice in Wonderland. The festival runs from Thursday November 8th – Sunday November 10th.

Here are a few ideas if you would like to get involved:

·               Steampunk Dress up

Dress up in a Steampunk inspired outfit

·               Punk My Ride

During the festival we hold a Punk my ride competition, this takes place after the parade. Any vehicle from bicycle to scooter to car etc can be punked up, they must be in the Parade to qualify and be available at the end of the parade for judging which will take place at Pahau street, more details available on steampunkthethames.co.nz

·               Hobby Horse Racing, Parasol Dueling, and Tea Pot Racing.

These activities will be run at our Sunday Event at Victoria park. We encourage your children to make their own hobby horse or punk up one they already own, along with Tea pot racing. A remote controlled car dressed as a tea pot, that can navigate a small obstacle course. Loads of fun for the youth to get involved and give it a go.

Steampunk is an engaging hobby that excludes nobody and embraces past present and future.
