Book Fair and Grandparents Day
Dress up as your favourite character on Monday 30 October
Come along all week to our Book Fair from Monday 30 October to Friday 3 November. On Monday 30 October students get to dress up as their favourite book character. We can't wait to see their outfits!
A Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that provides the books kids want to read, and books will be for sale throughout the week. It's a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Reading for pleasure, inside and outside of school, has real and long-lasting benefits. It unlocks the power of information and imagination and helps children discover who they are. This is our major library fundraising event for the year, every book sold gains our school Scholastic Points, to get free books for our awesome library. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
Grandparents Day will be held on Friday 3 November from 11.15 am in the Hall.
Grandparents and wider whānau are welcome and encouraged to come along and see some of our learning, see our classrooms/school, and share a picnic lunch with your tamariki. We will meet in the hall at 11:15 am for a brief sharing with open classrooms and activities following this. A picnic lunch (please bring with you) and a sausage sizzle will be for sale from 12:30 pm and you can feel free to stay for lunchtime too. You can visit the library at anytime to see and support our awesome Book Fair.
We look forward to seeing you!
