This week, James Heap (Swimming), Melody McLaren and Sienna Moore (both Gymnastics) attended the AIMS Games held in Tauranga. This is a massive event with over 11,000 Year 7&8 students attending.

For these three students, AIMS was an opportunity to compete against competitors from all over NZ and from the Pacific.  There was a very high level of competition at this massive event.

Well done to these students, as the level of training and commitment (including fundraising) to get to this event is massive in itself.

James competed in seven events, and achieved 6 Personal Best times.  He also received 8th placing in both the 200m Individual Medley and 200m Freestyle.  (A great effort given some of his competitors were over 6 feet tall!)

Sienna and Melody both competed in Artistic Gymnastics and Tumbling.  Sienna received three perfect 10's on floor, vault and her second tumbling pass.  She also placed 6th overall in Tumbling.
