Third Annual Ambrose Golf Tournament

In all we had 63 golfers from near and far, tee off at 10am to play 18 holes of golf. With team names like "Sink or Swim", "Sultans of Swing", "The Fat Boys" to name a few, everyone was out to have fun!

Our Pārāwai Kids First PTA ladies fired up the BBQ as an additional fundraiser at the 8th hole and, with the help of a few Pārāwai School students, sold sausages, hamburgers and soft drinks around the course throughout the day, delivering them to the golfers on the Golf Clubs "old mule'.

Thanks to our generous prize sponsors, all players regardless of placing, received a prize.

A putting contest was held on the putting green, with most of the golfers competing for closest to the hole. Four golfers qualified for the very exciting final, with one golfer taking home a $50 cash prize after putting the ball straight into the hole for a second time that day.

The grand total of just over $7,000 was raised for the school. We would like to thank all our participants of the golf day - our wonderful hole and prize sponsors for your massive contribution, Thames Golf Club whose hosting of the tournament is very much appreciated, Pak 'n Save for the very generous donation of the sponsor's day, and of course all our golfers who make the event a stand-out fun-filled day.
