Our PTA

Robyn Bradley —

Our PTA is keen to grow and invites any interested parents to come along to a meeting to see what is involved.

The main role of the PTA is to support the staff and the Board by encouraging a closer relationship between whānau | families and the kura | school.

Chairperson - Anna Tomlins

Deputy Chair - Kristina Adams and Marilyn Stewart

Secretary - Shanti Niven

Treasurer - Leanne Wratt

Committee Members - Kelly Wheeler, Alyce Claasen, Kath Sinclair, Amanda Robson, Barry Lambie, Abby Savage, and Hannah Whitlow

Staff Reps - Phillipa Ford & Jan Thompson

Fundraising plays a major part of the PTA which in turn allows the school to buy extra resources that our students benefit from. The PTA also run the second hand uniform shop, organise Ezy Lunch each Thursday, and social functions for our students, like the Disco.

Our PTA is a vital partner in our Pareawa Banks Avenue School community and meets once a month at 7:00pm in the staffroom, generally on a Monday evening. Everyone is welcome to come along.

We also have the ‘friends of the PTA’ who may choose not to come to meetings but want to be kept informed on upcoming events and volunteer where they are available.
