Super 10s Competition

Bridie Lancaster-Butcher —

Last week three teams of ten students in Year 7/8, had the opportunity to compete in three different sports. Those sports were Soccer, T-ball and Ultimate Frisbee.

On the 6th of April a bunch of students were selected to  compete in the Super Tens Competition. The event was held at the helicopter park, not to far away from Parkview.

In the coming weeks before the competition, Youth Town had been visiting our school every Thursday to help us learn and practice the sports. The T-ball game had a twist, after you had hit the ball, you ran to the cones which were nearby.  The more cones you picked up the more points your team earned, the closer cones were worth two points and the ones further away were four points.

We all enjoyed the competition and had great fun. While not playing our games we socialized with the other schools, music was booming and everyone was dancing. It was such an amazing day!  We didn't bring home any prizes but we made Parkview proud.

Thank you to Miss Keys for looking after us for the day, and the parents who came to support us.
