Rooms 17 & 18 from Parkview School have been creating blueprints of houses they created.

They started the process on Tuesday 18th September and finished on Thursday 20th September.  First,  Mrs. Haythornthwaite created an individual google drawing with a math grid background to help them calculate the area of the house that they are building, and shared it to her class. Mr.Pinker came up with the idea of doing this project.

They then had to make the outlines of the house and the rooms on the google drawing.  After that they had to put in the rooms and labels. Then they had to make the doorways and a garden. They didn’t have any patios, but some did have some decks. 

Using the Bunnings website, the students calculated the costs and added links to where they found everything on the site.

These classes seemed to enjoy creating their houses!
