Our Elite swimmers headed to Kaiapoi this Wednesday to compete in our Swimming Championships.

On Wednesday afternoon 18 of our top swimmers headed to the Kaiapoi Aquatic Center for an hour of heats. Breaststroke, butterfly, backstroke and freestyle all made an appearance. The top swimmers from each category will head off to compete in Zones on the 16th March.

Everyone was nervous with the anticipation of starting there race. But luckily they let everyone get in the pool to practice and get used to the water. It was amazing seeing how good some people were at swimming. 

Some people are now getting ready to go to Zones representing our Kura.
