Week 3 in the Kōtuku Team!
Once again the Kōtuku Team had a very productive and busy week.
Monday: At Technology on Monday we had students making fruit salad for cooking, planning and creating a wooden key holder/clip/chalk or pin board for Hard Materials Technology and playing instruments in Music. For Mentoring the students did some team building and games with the junior students.
Tuesday: The Theme for Literacy for the past 3 weeks has been all about the Olympics. The students have been creating multiple digital objects surrounding this theme. Check out the amazing promotion posters! We then had our two Cowles Basketball teams in the afternoon win their games.
Wednesday: We had Buddy Class in which we did some reflection, Te Reo and Digitech activities. After school our senior staff attended Physical Education PD with Brandon from Sport Canterbury. Our Pasifika Group with Siera had their first lesson AND our EPRO8 challenge team competed in the semi finals and have now qualified for the finals! Busy day for all.
Thursday: We had football and netball teams represent our school well at the Zones tournament and some of our sports teams went off to Hagley. Those at school carried on creating structures and buildings on Minecraft.
Friday: We finished the week on a positive note with an Ako reflection of our work this term and Inquiry Maths focusing on our school value of Mahi Tahi!
What a fantastic week!
