The Piwakawaka team are straight back into it this term. It was so nice to see all the children back and hear about their holidays. Thank you, also, for being organised with hats!

On Wednesday Murielle from the Canterbury Museum came to visit and speak about the ships that originally came from England. She put into perspective how big the ships were and how many people were on board!

We looked at what they would have worn and got to pretend to pack a suitcase, identifying what we thought was important.

It was lovely to hear the different links whānau have to those first ships.
